About Us

Holley J. Jackson is from Prince George’s County, Maryland. She earned her education with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in English, from Virginia Union University, and Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction for Social Justice, from Loyola University Maryland. During those undergraduate years, Holley rediscovered her passion for writing through her courses. Furthermore, she found her calling for teaching reading and writing skills through tutoring on campus, and mentoring youth at a neighborhood middle school. Writing has always been her secret talent, especially poetry. Her illustrious inspiration to pursue storytelling, comes from her favorite author: the late Eric Jerome Dickey.

As a current secondary educator, Jackson is often informed of her students’ academics, behavior, and lifestyle. She wanted to pay homage to the young generation in her first work by writing a novel for teenagers and young adults alike. With her writing, Holley hopes to connect with her audiences by showing perspectives of others: How in life, it can always be worse than what you’ve experienced. She currently resides in Prince George’s County, chasing her dream with her partner and their daughter by her side.
